They sold us a change of driver. The vehicle is the same. Ten years of Trudeau broke trust, borders, the budget and speech. Carney took the wheel in 2025 with a City accent and the same software: governing the people against themselves.

The Trudeau ledger

SNC-Lavalin, 2019. The ethics commissioner found the prime minister had broken the law by pressing Jody Wilson-Raybould to spare a firm accused of corruption. Two ministers walked. The lesson: in Ottawa, justice is negotiated.

Emergencies Act, 2022. Against truckers. Accounts frozen. The Federal Court later found the invocation unreasonable. Legal artillery was rolled out against horns — while Antifa was left to burn American cities under the name of a “movement”.

ArriveCAN. Budgeted at $80,000. Billed at nearly $54 million, 23 subcontractors, names Parliament never received. Two private shops rebuilt a copy in a weekend.

Chinese interference. Federal elections targeted. A government that minimised, stalled, protected its seats. A country that will not defend its ballot boxes will not defend its daughters.

Roxham, then the tap. The path, the permits, three million temporaries. This is not a wrong turn. It is the policy.

Holidays at the Aga Khan’s, WE Charity, blackface, the carbon tax, an army in rags, inflation, record food banks: the detail fills volumes. The thread is one. They governed against the founding people.

The Carney ledger

The banker was supposed to reassure. His first budget, autumn 2025: a $78.3 billion deficit, the second-heaviest in history. The Fraser Institute calculates $322 billion in cumulative deficits through 2029–30 — more than double the Trudeau plan — and debt heading toward $2.9 trillion.

On 8 October 2025 he promised a “better deal” than CUSMA. In August 2026 American tariffs are at the door. The promise is not.

He talks of “sacrifices”. Yes. Ours. Not his.

One party, two faces

Trudeau played the professor. Carney plays the manager. One moralises, the other accounts. Both dilute Quebec, muzzle speech, open the border, and treat common sense as a threat to “Canada’s reputation”.

A free Quebec would not have to endure this tandem. A Quebec-as-province will endure it to the rope.

They did not change the government. They changed the spokesman.

Let us bring back common sense.
