I was born in Lanaudière. My native soil has a name, a language, a memory, a people. It still has no country.

We were taught to love Quebec quietly. To sing it on 24 June, to defend it half-heartedly, then to fall back into the federal ranks the following morning. That is over. Attachment without sovereignty is folklorisation. They leave us the arrow sash. They take away the borders, the laws, the final word.

Tenants on our own ground

Canada never had a plan to let us grow. Its plan is to dilute us. Multiculturalism, a façade of bilingualism, the Supreme Court, moral equalisation: one and the same mechanism. Keeping us a majority in theory, and secondary in practice.

A people without a state is a people that gets administered. Ottawa decides who enters, what may be said, what our children will learn. This is called a "partnership". It is a guardianship.

Independence is not a luxury

We are told over and over that the world is too complex, too global, too fragile for a small nation to presume to govern itself. That is the argument of every empire. Nations that respect themselves do not ask permission to exist.

Independence means the right to close a border. To choose who assimilates and who does not stay. To speak French without apologising. To refuse Agenda 2030, the rootless diktats, the thought police. It is the only framework in which common sense becomes possible again.

Without a country, our battles remain opinions. With a country, they become laws.

Long live free Quebec

I am not campaigning for a flag in a drawer. I am campaigning so that my children inherit something more than a memory. A native land is not a backdrop. It is a duty.

Masters in our own house. Not tenants. Not tomorrow: now.

Let us bring back common sense.
